Pietro Torri (c. 1650 – 1737) was an Italian baroque composer. Born in Peschiera del Garda, he made a truly European career. From 1684 to 1688, he served the Margrave of Bayreuth, later entering the Elector of Bavaria's service, Maximilian II Emanuel. It was with the latter that he moved to the Spanish Netherlands and later settled in Brussels, where Torri married the daughter of a ballet master. He went on to live in Mons, Namur, Lille, Compiegne and Valenciennes, where his compositions were performed.

in 1715, he returned to Munich. (Abridged from Wikipedia)[1]
