Nicola Fago (26 February 1677 – 18 February 1745) was a Baroque composer. A student of Francesco Provenzale and Alessandro Scarlatti, he succeeded Provenzale at the Conservatorio della Pietà dei Turchini. He was the teacher of many students who would succeed and arguably surpass him, including names like Leonardo Leo, Niccolo Jommelli, Pasquale Cafaro, Giacomo Tritto and Francesco Feo.
Of his 11 children, five died very young; only one, Lorenzo, took on his father's profession and became a composer – and a teacher, like his father, at the Conservatorio della Pietà dei Turchini.
