Since its creation in 1980 by Alain Brunet, the Festival de musique Baroque d'Ambronay is annually held in October.
It is linked to the Centre Culturel de Rencontre d'Ambronay, since its creation in 2003. One of the aims of the Festival has been to produce recordings – first, e. g., via the Auvidis label. During this period, the musician and choirmaster Jordi Savall was particularly involved.[1]
Since 2005, the festival has produced under its own label.[2]
