Nikos Mamangakis (Greek Νίκος Μαμαγκάκης, * March 3, 1929 in Rethymno, Crete; † July 24, 2013 in Athens) was a Greek composer.

Mamangakis came from a family of Cretan musicians (from which the lyricist Andreas Rodinos also came). As a 10-year-old he attended courses at the Rethymno Conservatory and studied regularly at the Greek Conservatory in Athens from 1947 to 1953 with Miltiadis Kountoukos, Antiochos Evangelatos, Marios Varvoglis and Ep. Fasianos. He continued his studies at the Musikhochschule in Munich, where he studied composition with Carl Orff and Harald Genzmer until 1964.

Beyond his contributions to classical and pop music, he wrote the scores for films like Kaspar Hauser (1993) and the trilogy "Heimat" by Edgar Reitz.
