Founded in 2002, the Ensemble Artaserse appears at concerts and festivals worldwide.

History

The founding members Nanja Breedijk, Christine Plubeau, Claire Antonini and Yoko Nakamura and of course Philippe Jaroussky connected by their common interest in early seventeenth-century music.

Ensemble Artaserse first appeared at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal in Paris in October 2002 with a program mainly comprising works of Benedetto Ferrari.[1][2]
