Demofoonte is an opera seria by Antonio Caldara. Based on a libretto by Pietro Metastasio, it was the first time that Metastasio's text was set to music. The opera premiered in 1733 in Vienna.[4]Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag [5]
