"Amar senza penar" appears in the 1717 version<ref name="IMSLP"/> also part of the 1715 version yet has to be confirmed. In the version printed in the 1723<ref name=Libretto>, there has been considerable text changes. The introductory line of the angel seems to be missing, and the text is as follows:
Angelo
<poem>'''Recitativo'''
Ferma dall'alto soglio
Penetraron le sfere i tuoi sospiri,
Se col vago candore
De' tuoi puri pensieri
Sapesti innamorar l'istesso Amore.
'''Aria'''
Amar senza penar
Non è da invitto cor,
Che brama il Cielo.
Saprà ben consolar
L'aspetto del dolor
Ogni tuo zelo.
